You should not change your jewelry for at least 3-6 months. Healing time varies from person to person. Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide and Antibacterial Ointment should Never be used. It will dehydrate and can inhibit skin cells from regenerating and healing. Keep your piercing clean at all times. Use soap that has a neutral PH level (soft soap, Dove sensitive care) Please don't us Antibacterial soap. Use NO MORE than 2x Daily unless you work out and sweat a lot than 3x daily. With thoroughly cleansed hands, create a lather and cleanse piercing and surrounding area, moving jewelry back and forth. Rinse thoroughly, again moving jewelry back and forth. Do this 2x a day. TOUNGE/ORAL Piercing - USE LISTERINE ZERO Rinse after eating and smoking. Lots of cold products such as popsicles or ice. ibuprofen (Advil) for swelling and sore throat.
